Manchester is one of the UK’s most vibrant cities with a large range of activities from large shopping centres, restaurants, pubs and bars, leisure facilities such as tenpin bowling, cinemas, indoor ski centre, driving ranges, museums, sporting and concert arenas. You will be spoilt for choice for shopping in the city centre and nearby Trafford Centre with major high street shops, high end fashion stores, discount stores and markets. Days out in Manchester are great for families on a budget as many of its  attractions are free to enjoy. Highlights include the Museum of Science and Industry and The Imperial War Museum North, look out for special events running throughout the holidays. Heaton Park offers a wide range of activities throughout the year including play areas, cafes, Animal Centre, Tram Museum, bowling greens, golf course, boating lake, horse riding, regular fun fairs; entry is free with a small fee for parking or get there using regular public transport to and from the park.
